TIM KEY embarks on a low-grade book tour to celebrate the publication of his latest

Chris Turner is hitting the road with his show, Spontaneous.
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when stand-up meets improv rap looks like, this is it, and he’s coming to The Wardrobe on the 10th July.
Chris’s quotable gags and rapid freestyle raps have established him as one of the most in-demand acts at comedy clubs around the world, currently based in the USA.
In 2022, Chris began a Las Vegas residency, starring in Cirque Du Soleil’s show Mad Apple, the first Cirque show to ever feature stand-up comedy. He appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, becoming the first British Comedian to perform there, and received a standing ovation.
2023 saw his show ‘Vegas, Baby!’ completely sell out its 25 date run at the Edinburgh Fringe, picking up multiple five star reviews and becoming one of British Comedy Guide’s Best Reviewed Shows at the festival

But is this even possible anymore?

Ian Stone is “Looking for the Wow”
“Life can’t just be the humdrum, the mundane and the routine before the inevitable slide to disease, decay and death. Why can’t we sneak in a bit of awesome, a tad of amazing and maybe a smidge of wonderful? A forest canopy opening onto a huge vista would be enchanting for some but my ancestors wandered in the desert for forty years, I think we’ve been outdoors enough. Others get their fix from the spiritual but I’ve been harbouring a grudge against God since my mother stopped me going to Arsenal after my Barmitzvah. Forty-nine years ago. ’God will be watching’ she said. Well, at least he got to see the game. The point is, life could be so much better so I’m on the lookout. Come and join me on the hunt.”
