An Evening With Rob Schneider

A house-hold name and a bona-fide comedy star, Rob Schneider is well known around the world for his trademark blend of character and comedic acting whilst also becoming one of the most popular stand-ups in America and plays Leeds as one of only five dates on an exclusive, low-key taster-tour.

He began his stand-up career while still in high school and an appearance on the HBO ‘Annual Young Comedians’ special led working on the seminal sketch comedy series ‘Saturday Night Live’ where he won three Emmy Awards as part of the writing team. He swiftly graduated from writer to full cast member and for five years starred in the influential comedy series alongside Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Mike Myers, David Spade and Chris Rock.

He went on to star in the 1999 feature film ‘Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo’ and the sequel ‘Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo’ followed by ‘The Animal’, ‘The Hot Chick’ and the family comedy, ‘The Benchwarmers’ as well appearances in ‘Muppets from Space’ and the 2004 remake of ‘Around the World in 80 Days’

Schneider has also appeared in numerous comedies starring his SNL comrade Adam Sandler including ‘Grown Ups’, ‘The Waterboy’, ‘Big Daddy’, ‘Little Nicky’, ‘50 First Dates’, ‘The Longest Yard’ and ‘You Don’t Mess with the Zohan’.

On TV he appeared on numerous episodes of the popular shows ‘Seinfeld’ and ‘Ally McBeal’ and was a frequent guest on the late-night US variety program ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ including an infamous episode where he showed up in drag as actress Lindsay Lohan after the latter cancelled following a controversial arrest for drink driving.

In the last few years, Schneider starred as the title character in the CBS-TV situation comedy ‘Rob’ and when the series came to an end he created the docu-series ‘Real Rob’ for Netflix, which focuses on the day-to-day hijinks of his life and includes real-life wife, and daughter and marks the first time any actor has ever written, produced, starred in, directed and financed a television show.
